Because somewhere between what we wear, who we want to be, who we want to date, and why everyone suddenly owns the same pair of shoes, there’s usually a much more interesting conversation happening.

Written through the eyes of a 20-something creative with a tendency to overanalyse, the Mirepoix stirs together fashion, creative direction, culture, internet phenomena, and the occasional unsolicited observation about modern life. Think trend analysis, cultural rabbit holes, personal anecdotes, and a few opinions that probably should have stayed in the group chat.

Here, I’m interested in the things beneath the surface: the trends we buy into, the stories we tell ourselves, the aesthetics we chase, and the strange social rules we all somehow follow without ever agreeing to them. Sometimes that means looking at fashion through a cultural lens, sometimes through a commercial one. And sometimes it’s just me overanalysing a completely unserious internet trend because frankly I’m bored and my friends can only tolerate so many of my unsolicited opinions.
